Description

This listing is for a custom Pea Tendrils microgreens pre-order.  Under normal circumstances, your order will be ready in about two weeks.  I will plant the seeds as soon as possible after I receive your order, and they take about two weeks to grow.  This kind of order is available any time of year, even when I’m not growing large batches of microgreens for market.  If something happens to create a significant delay in fulfilling your order (such as a crop failure), you will be given the option to reschedule.

One order includes a 1/2 pint compostable clamshell full of cut microgreens.  You receive a significantly larger amount of food this way compared to a similarly sized box of live microgreens, and believe it or not they also last longer! If you wish to store your microgreens for more than a few days, I suggest transferring them to a sealed glass or reusable plastic container when you receive them. Keep refrigerated and rinse in cool water right before use.

Important: Fresh veggies are only available for local pickup near Franklin, IN.  I do not ship fresh veggies through the mail.  If you order for local pickup, I’ll reach out to you to set up a time and place in or around Franklin where I can deliver your order to you.  I do not give out my farm address for privacy reasons (it’s my home), so we’ll pick a mutually convenient place to meet up.

Note: Good closeup picture of pea tendrils is in the works 😉  I am currently growing the snow pea kind, which are very lacy and filly with a delicate texture.  This is a new-ish variety for me.  In previous years I grew the green pea variety, which are more similar in texture to bean sprouts.  Some people seem to prefer the more delicate texture of the snow pea!

Pea tendrils taste exactly like a fresh garden pea, but the texture is very different.  They are best chopped finely before eating.  I like to consume them raw in a salad, or very lightly stir-fried with garlic and chiles.  Check out these delicious pea tendril recipes on the blog:
